Having reformed in their original configuration, Singaporean grindsters, Wormrot, have just dropped their new live single, “Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Grind,” along with a video. The band have also announced their upcoming live album, TNT – recorded in session at TNT Studios – due for release May 30th, via Earache Records. Milwaukee Metal Festival has just welcomed even more bands to its 2025 bill, with Gwar, Arch Enemy, Oppressor, Wormrot, Between The Buried And Me, Sacred Reich, Necrot, and Frozen Soul joining the lineup. The festival will take place once again at The Rave/Eagles Ballroom from May 16-18, 2025, with the pre-party kicking off on May 15, and more acts still to be added. Wormrot Reunites Their Classic Lineup, New Music Coming in 2025


In a surprising announcement, Grindcore legends Wormrot have reunited with their classic lineup! In a post to social media, the band has welcomed back drummer Fitri, who has been out of the band since 2015, and vocalist Arif, who quit in 2022. Guitarist Rasyid is still with the group, rounding out the trio. They also promised new music in 2025, making it an early pick for one of the most anticipated metal releases, next year. Continue reading

Hellfest, held every year just outside of Paris, in Clisson, France, continues to up the ante every year with forever growing and impressive lineups! Taking place from June 27 to June 30, 2024, Hellfest will once again be four days long and over 200 bands appearing on six stages. For 2024, the headliners for each night will be Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head, Metallica, and Foo Fighters. ALBUM REVIEW: Ripped To Shreds – 劇變 (Jubian)


 

The brainchild of guitarist/vocalist/everything-ist Andrew Lee, US death metal mob Ripped To Shreds has been tearing up the Californian underground scene since 2016 and shows no sign of slowing down with its third full-length studio release 劇變 (Jubian) (Relapse Records). Originally created as a solo project to increase the visibility of American-born-Chinese in extreme metal, the band now acts as a four-piece and flies that flag with just as much pride as before but to a larger audience.
