As the heat gets worse and the prospect of melting becomes increasingly likely, a bouncing up and down session in the pit to The Scratch is probably inadvisable, but there you go. The Dublin four-piece are absolutely fantastic, frontman Daniel “Lango” Lang using taped drumsticks to beat the hell out of his Cajón like some kind of busker’s bodhrán as the band cover Motörhead classic “Ace of Spades.” Continue reading →

Another year, another summer heatwave. Climate change is definitely a thing, but at this point I’m not entirely sure the organisers of Bloodstock Open Air aren’t just getting out and pushing South Derbyshire a few thousand miles closer to the sun.
