When We Were Young tickets went on sale today and immediately sold out. They have added a  second day on October 20th, 2024 and it will feature the same lineup.  Headliners My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy leading the massive lineup. In 2024, over 50 bands will each perform an album front-to-back with highlights including My Chemical Romance performing The Black Parade, A Day To Remember’s Homesick, Jimmy Eat World’s Bleed American, Pierce The Veil’s Collide With The Sky, The Used’s In Love and Death, Simple Plan performing No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls, Dashboard Confessional’s Dusk and Summer, Coheed and Cambria’s Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, along with Nada Surf’s Let Go, in addition to rare reunions from Cobra Starship performing ¡Viva La Cobra! and Chiodos performing All’s Well That Ends Well and much more. Thanks to TikTok trends resurrecting decade-old (and older) pop-punk and emo hits and spreading them like wildfire to a new surge of listeners, there has been a nostalgic Noughties emo revival. Between the majorly sentimental lineup of the When We Were Young Fest and bands like My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Thursday, Blink-182, Sunny Day Real Estate, and others, snapping out of hiatus and flooding stages once again, it should come as no surprise that Pierce the Veil is rejoining the ranks.

When We Were Young Music Festival Cancels Day One of Their Festival Due to High Winds

The highly anticipated destination music festival aimed at Punks, elder Emos,  and millennials, When We Were Young Festival featuring My Chemical Romance, Paramore, and Avril Lavigne has been forced to cancel day one of their sold out event. The cancellation was announced at 10 AM PST, just an hour before gates were to open at Las Vegas Festival Grounds. due to high winds. Winds were forecasted for up to 30-40 MPH which increases the safety hazard for an outdoor stage. The fest is still expected to take place tomorrow and again next weekend; on October 29th, 2022.

Let’s take it way back to Warped Tour ca. 2004 as When We Were Young Festival has announced their 2022 lineup. A Punk, Emo, and Metalcore kids dream, the lineup includes headliners My Chemical Romance and Paramore. Other bands on the bill include Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, The Linda Lindas, Alkaline Trio, Thursday, AFI, Meet Me @ The Altar, Avril Lavigne, Senses Fail, The Wonder Years, ADTR, Ice Nine Kills, Black Veil Brides, Motionless in White, Atreyu, Four Year Strong, Palaye Royale, Acceptance, Anberlin, Knocked Loose, Silverstein, Bright Eyes, Dance Gavin Dance and more are among the bands announced. Music Producer Kato Khandwala Dies In A Fatal Motorcycle Crash


 

News has come down that award-winning music producer Kato Khandwala died yesterday in a motor-cycle crash. No other information is available at this time. Khandwala was known best for his work with bands such as The Pretty Reckless, Pop Evil, Blondie, Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Drowning Pool and Pierce The Veil. Rock Am Ring Evacuated Due To Bomb Threat, Today’s Lineup Canceled


Chaos ensued earlier today in Nuremberg, Germany at the legendary Rock Am Ring Festival. It was evacuated over a possible bomb threat, with the festival organizers released a statement confirming that the rest of the June 2 lineup has been canceled.
