Ozzfest Confirms a Return in 2027 for The United Kingdom and The USA

In a post to social media, Ozzfest has now confirmed that the reactivated heavy metal festival, founded by Sharon Osbourne and her late husband Ozzy in 1996, will return to the UK and the U.S.A. in 2027. The latest announcement, which was shared on the official Ozzfest social media earlier today (Monday, September 21), follows reports of a U.K. Ozzfest edition for 2027, which will take place at Villa Park, the home ground of the Aston Villa Football Club, in Ozzy’s original hometown of Birmingham, United Kingdom. The new Ozzfest teaser, which can be seen below, shows Ozzy with the Ozzfest logo as well as images of the U.K. and U.S. flags, accompanied by the brief message, “Ozzfest will come to the UK and US”. As the heat gets worse and the prospect of melting becomes increasingly likely, a bouncing up and down session in the pit to The Scratch is probably inadvisable, but there you go. The Dublin four-piece are absolutely fantastic, frontman Daniel “Lango” Lang using taped drumsticks to beat the hell out of his Cajón like some kind of busker’s bodhrán as the band cover Motörhead classic “Ace of Spades.” Continue reading →

Another year, another summer heatwave. Climate change is definitely a thing, but at this point I’m not entirely sure the organisers of Bloodstock Open Air aren’t just getting out and pushing South Derbyshire a few thousand miles closer to the sun.
