The Ghost of a Dead Future (Century Media) is the swan song for At the Gates. This album was released as a tribute to late vocalist Tomas Lindberg, who recorded his vocals for the demos before going into surgery for adenoid cystic carcinoma. The band later finished the recording using those vocals and had postponed this album’s release until after his treatment, but Tomas died in September. It is also worth noting that original guitarist Anders Bjorler reunited with the band after his 2014 departure. With all these factors in play, the facts are this.
