ALBUM REVIEW: Necrot – Mortal – Tankcrimes

What’s the best strategy when it comes time to record a follow-up to a critically acclaimed album like 2017’s Blood Offerings? Well, for Necrot it seems as simple as following the course. Yes, that approach on paper does come across a little reductionist and it may imply that Mortal (Tankcrimes) is merely a rehash. But while Necrot may not be reimagining the genre on Mortal they are serving up some of the most satisfying Death Metal today.

Necrot Shares a New Single – “Asleep Forever”

Bay Area death metal/punk trio Necrot today has shared another new single, “Asleep Forever,” from their frother coming new album, Mortal due out August 28th via Tankcrimes Records. Mortal was recorded by Grammy award-winning engineer Greg Wilkinson (High On Fire, Autopsy) and mastered by Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Cattle Decapitation, Mastodon) at West West Side. Metal Vs Racism Releases Its Second Episode

After making its debut early this week with episode one, Metal Vs. Racism, an online collective of metal musicians has shared their second episode. This episode features Alex Skolnik of Testament, Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust, Leon De Muerte of Terrorizer, Mike IX of EyeHateGod, Chiyo of Noothgrush, Scotty Peterson of Cryptic Slaughter, Greg Wilkerson of Brainoil/Deathgrave, Rev.
