Fulci Forced Off “Decibel Magazine Tour” Due to Visa Delays – Spirit Adrift Step In

Italian death metal act Fulci will not appear on the 2026 Decibel Magazine Tour after their US visa approval failed to arrive in time. Spirit Adrift will fill their spot. The band confirms they will return for the 2027 Decibel Tour.

Fulci shares the news in a statement: “Due to delays in our US visa process, we won’t be able to take part in the Decibel Tour. We did everything possible, but the approval didn’t arrive in time, and this is completely out of our control. We’re honestly gutted. We put months of work, energy, and anticipation into this.”

Spirit Adrift will take Fulci’s place on the tour alongside Cryptopsy, Necrot, and Blood Monolith. Fulci urges their fans to attend and support the tour regardless: “It’s going to be something special.”

Named after legendary Italian filmmaker and Godfather of Gore Lucio Fulci, the band transforms the aesthetics of cult horror cinema into a sonic nightmare, crafting albums that feel like soundtracks to blood-soaked films. Crushing riffs, cinematic atmospheres, and horror-driven storytelling define their sound, carving out a unique space in the death metal landscape, making their absence from this tour all the more felt.

Fulci is also releasing a Maxi single, which drops May 1 via 20 Buck Spin. Risorsero dalla Tomba e Fu… L’Apocalisse! (“They Rise From the Grave, and It Will Be… The Apocalypse!”). It’s serving as the soundtrack to a 30-minute short film of the same name, created in collaboration with director Domenico Montixi. The film merges paranormal horror with a Spaghetti Western atmosphere, drawing direct inspiration from Lucio Fulci’s City of the Living Dead and Four of the Apocalypse, and features a trailer that premiered at FULCICON 2 in Milan.

Musically, the release drifts between eerie cinematic soundscapes and the band’s signature gore-giallo death metal, and includes a cover of composer Fabio Frizzi’s “Apoteosi Del Mistero” from City of the Living Dead, featuring guest vocals by Nate Garrett of Spirit Adrift. The record was produced by Fulci, recorded at Spvn, and mixed and mastered by Stefano Santi, with cover art by Lucas Ruggieri.
