The long-running great Black and Death Metal Festival Eindhoven Metal Meeting kicks off today at the legendary Effenaar venue in the Netherlands. Ghost Cult is honored to once again cover the fest, which we have supported for the majority of its history. Leading the stacked lineup this year are Katatonia, Carpathian Forest, Dark Funeral, Alfanhanne, and many more! The fest will start today with a warm-up party and follow up with full lineups on Friday and Saturday, with another round of killer bands. Dark Funeral Share a Re-recorded Version of “Open The Gates” – 30th Anniversary Edition of Debut Album Coming Soon
After three decades, Sweden’s Dark Funeral are set to release a re-worked version of their eponymous debut album. The black metal icons will drop Dark Funeral (30th Anniversary Edition) on August 09th, via Century Media Records. The album was remixed by David Castillo and re-mastered once again by Thomas “Plec” Johansson. The one-man riff-driven Atmospheric Black Metal act Malist consists of none other than the ever-talented multi-instrumentalist Ovfrost, who “believes that evil dominates the world”. The project is notable for featuring recurring themes that circulate around tyranny, war, and reclusion. To this day, Malist has released four full-length studio albums in a relentlessly belligerent pace, with the fifth full-length, Of Scorched Earth coming via Avantgarde Music.

Graspop Metal Meeting, one of the most acclaimed metal festivals in the world has finalized more names for their 2024 new lineup. Final headliner Alice Cooper has joined the bill with 83 other bands for year 27! Bruce Dickinson, Corey Taylor, Deep Purple, Electric Callboy and Megadeth as part of 130+ other bands. The fest takes place from Thursday 20 June through Sunday 23 June 2024 at Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, November 25th at the link below.
