We might be entering a golden age of music festivals in the USA. Sure, everywhere you turn fans struggle to afford tickets, and some tours are tanking. Even a few festivals have had disastrous results. At the same time, the destination festival is beginning to thrive here, as we are trying to copy the model from Europe that has reigned for nearly four decades. Kicking off later this week, the first annual No Values festival, featuring The Original Misfits, Social Distortion, Iggy Pop, Turnstile, Bad Religion, Sublime, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and more at the Pomona Fairplex this Saturday, June 8th, 2024. Primus Book US Summer Tour Dates with Coheed And Cambria

Primus and Coheed And Cambria are teaming up for an extensive Summer Tour, kicking off in Redding, CA on Friday, July 12th. Support comes from Guerilla Toss, Too Many Zooz, and Fishbone. The tour will follow Sessanta, a series of unique performances featuring Primus, Puscifer, and A Perfect Circle, celebrating the 60th birthday of Maynard James Keenan. Primus has also announced a limited run of headlining dates for the summer, including stops in Asheville, NC, Memphis, TN, and Austin, TX. Keep reading below for full details.

After their biggest year ever this year, Hellfest 2023 has booked headliners Kiss, Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, and Slipknot!  Set to take place June 15-18, 2023 In Clisson, France, the bill also includes Def Leppard, Pantera,  Porcupine Tree, Amon Amarth, Alter Bridge And Within Temptation, and more! Headliners for the 2022 edition of Hellfest included Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Judas Priest, Deftones, Ghost, Scorpions, and Korn over two long weekends to make up for the missed pandemic year of 2020.

ForeverMoore; The Angelo Project is the new documentary film for director Producer Tiso Zito and Old Soul Prodcutions, and highlights the career and artistry of the great Angelo Moore of Fishbone and other projects. After run winning awards at Film Festivals, the doc is now avaialble on a host of streaming and VOD platforms. The film focuses on the amazing frontman and creative force for 35 years in Ska/Punk and other genres. The doc also features music from Angelo Moore and The Brand New Step. Riot Fest 2021 Adds Patti Smith, Alkaline Trio, The Flaming Lips and More

Riot Fest has made the final weekend additions to the 2021 event, kicking off September 19th, 2021, which will be the fest’s first-ever Thursday Preview Party. Patti Smith and Her Band and Alkaline Trio will join Thursday night, with additional sets from Joyce Manor (performing their self-titled 2011 debut), WDRL, and Kristeen Young. As for Sunday, The Flaming Lips will return to Riot Fest on Sunday, bringing the fest-favorites back to Douglass Park on September 19 to replace Pixies. Sunday attendees will also get into the Thursday Preview Party for free, with a host of freshly-announced perks included. Tickets are on sale now at the link below.

“The Original Misfits” reunion of Danzig, Jerry Only, and Doyle has already announced they will perform at Aftershock Festival and now they will perform all of their classic Walk Among Us (Plan 9 Records) at Riot Fest 2022. Misfits will headline along with My Chemical Romance, already announced for 2022. tickets are on sale now for 2022 and this year’s Riot Fest features Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, DEVO, NOFX, Dinosaur Jr., Motion City Soundtrack, Smashing Pumpkins, Run the Jewels, Pixies, Circle Jerks, Coheed & Cambria, K.Flay, Meg Myers, Les Savy Fav, and many others to perform. Korn, Metallica, Mastodon, Billy Corgan to Pay Tribute to Alice In Chains at MoPop Awards Ceremony

Alice In Chains is being honored by Seattle’s MoPop Museum of Pop Culture on December 1st, and the band will be celebrated by a cadre of their peers, as well as hold their first performance of 2020. Korn, Metallica, Mastodon, Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction, and Krist Novoselic of Nirvana are among the artists who will take part in virtual tribute performances when AIC is presented with this year’s Museum Of Pop Culture (MoPOP) Founders Award. FESTIVAL REVIEW: Slipknot, Tool, Korn, Rob Zombie, Staind, and More Rule Aftershock 2019

It comes as no surprise that this year’s Aftershock Festival was once again sold out. I mean, how could it not with big-name talents such as Slipknot, Tool, Korn, Rob Zombie, Blink-182, Lamb of God, Dropkick Murphys, Marilyn Manson, Bad Religion, Chevelle, and many others. And with the über-early announcement of next year’s headliner—Metallica, for those of you living under a rock—there’s no question that 2020’s Aftershock will sell out as well.
