ALBUM REVIEW: Chelsea Grin – Suffer In Hell
Deathcore, the subgenre that took the late 2000’s by storm and is still muscling along today. Like many subgenres before it, multiple generations of bands come together and play their own particular brand of the given subgenre. In terms of deathcore, one earlier generation example that did not experiment themselves away from their roots is Chelsea Grin. They have released their sixth studio album (the first of a two part series) entitled Suffer In Hell (ONErpm) with the sister album, Suffer In Heaven, due out in 2023.

Quickly shaping up to be the biggest music festival in the USA this year, Blue Ridge Rock festival has announced their full line-up of 180 bands. Headlining the massive 4 day festival are Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, and Limp Bizkit. There is a special club warm up show which includes headliner Ludacris, T-Pain, and Lil Jon. Also on tap: the Hellzapoppin Circus Sideshow Revue, a vaudeville freak show of wonder by Hellzapoppin’s Ringleader and Producer, Mr. Bryce “The Govna” Graves. In addition, excitingly, the festival will be hosted by Steve-O (MTV’s Jackass); and special guest Lou Brutus (SiriusXM). The fest takes place September 9th – 12th at Blue Ridge Amphitheater, a long-awaited large-scale concert venue in Southwest Virginia. COVID-19 Crowdfunding Campaign Launched to Support The Worcester Palladium and The Webster Theater
An Indiegogo campaign has been launched to support the employees of both The Worcester Palladium and Webster theatre, two venues in New England that have been hosts to thousands of metal, hardcore, and rock shows and countless other events for decades. Both venues are operated by Mass Concerts, and the fundraiser is to bring relief aid to their workers due to the cancellation from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
