CONCERT REVIEW: August Burns Red – The Devil Wears Prada – Bleed From Within Live at Royal Oak Music Theatre


 

April showers started to sprinkle when a line of people outside the Royal Oak Music Theatre, located in the Detroit suburbs, began to move. The long queue was due to the fact the Metalcore masters, August Burns Red was in town to celebrate their 20-year anniversary. They brought along The Devil Wears Prada and Bleed from Within to help them party. Many rejoiced when the doors of the historic movie palace finally opened. Sneakers skidded across the art-deco hall and clamored straight to the front row claiming their spot to witness such acclaimed acts in their favorite genre. Soon the large, multi-level venue was flooded with flannel and a raucous was raised as many eager fans awaited their heroes to take the stage.Continue reading

The first-ever Heartsupport Festival, the brainchild of Jake Luhrs of August Burns Red, has added three new bands to an already stacked bill Underoath, Four Year Strong, Currents, join headliners Rise Against and Parkway Drive with The Ghost Inside, Dance Gavin Dance, Spiritbox, August Burns Red, Silverstein, Memphis May Fire, The Devil Wears Prada, Hawthorne Heights, Comeback Kid, The Word Alive, Bleed From Within, Harms Way, ’68, He Is Legend, Bloodlines, Prison, and more! Joel Stroetzel Leaves the Killswitch Engage Tour Due to COVID-19


Killswitch Engage is currently on the road touring with August Burns Red and Light The Torch. The band has suffered a loss as guitarist Joel Stroetzel has gone home after contracting Covid-19. As reported by The PRP, fans initially noticed the musician’s absence on the band’s show in Portland, Maine on February 5th, with lead guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz later confirming that Stroetzel was out with a Covid infection. August Burns Red’s Dustin Davidson and JB Brubaker filled in for the Killswitch in Portland. The band will continue as a four-piece the rest of the tour with potential help from the other bands.
