Dortmund Deathfest has announced the second wave of bands for its 2024 edition, taking place August 02nd and 03rd as the Junkyard Club in Dortmund. ALBUM REVIEW: Cryptopsy – As Gomorrah Burns


 

It was while spinning my wheels at the mercy of a delayed flight from London to Berlin, on about the fifth listen to As Gomorrah Burns, the forthcoming record by Montreal, Canada’s Cryptopsy on Nuclear Blast Records that the album finally opened up, like a poisoned flower, and revealed its full merit.

ALBUM REVIEW: Cattle Decapitation – Death Atlas


The Extreme/Grindcore/Death Metal act, Cattle Decapitation has been pleasantly surprising modern metal listeners for nearly a decade. Since their record, The Harvest Floor (Metal Blade Records) in 2009, this quintet from San Diego has been pushing barriers in several different metal genres. Their relentless resilience and unabashed creativity throughout the years has been unexpected and still surprises fans today. Cattle Decapitation Completes New Album


In a post to Instagram by frontman Travis Ryan, Cattle Decapitation has concluded the production of their new album. The record is due later in 2019 or early in 2020 via Metal Blade Records and was recorded by their frequent collaborator, David Otero at Westminster Studios in Denver, Colorado. It will be their first new full-length album since 2015’s incredible Anthropocene Extinction. The album is also their first with new bassist Oliver Pinnard, also of Cryptopsy. We’re looking forward to the new album since the band is one of the leading lights of Death Metal genre today.
