FESTIVAL REVIEW: Radar Festival 2024 – Part 2 Live at O2 Victoria Warehouse

The final day commences, and although there has been some hiccups in the form of bands dropping out (Oxymorrons and Siamese), this was fixed instantly with replacement acts Mike Dawese and Pintglass. Pintglass, who stepped up to the task having only performed the afterparty the night prior. Rock-influenced metalcore quintet, Ashen were first to take to the main stage. Displaying an eclectic mix of melodic metalcore tracks, with giant choruses. Whilst having only visited the UK once for their last tour, the French band were determined to leave a mark, performing a unique cover of Nirvana’s iconic single “Smells Like Teen Spirit” getting the early bird crowds to sing in unison, with Ashen’s frontman Clem Richard, who put on one of the best vocal performances of the weekend.Continue reading

Rivers Of Nihil Share a New Video Single for “Criminals” – On Tour Now
Reading, Pennsylvania progressive death metallers, Rivers Of Nihil, have just unleashed their brand new single, “Criminals.” The band recently began sessions at Atrium Audio with Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland to finish recording their fifth full-length album, from which the track is taken. The album is due in 2025 via Metal Blade Records. Meanwhile, Rivers Of Nihil are currently out on the Chaos & Carnage Tour tour in the US, with Cattle Decapitation, Carnifex, and others. Hellsinki Metal Festival has announced their first bands for the 2024 event! The fest takes place on August 9th & 10th in Helsinki@! The first announcement includes Avantasia, Hammerfall, Kreator, Satyricon, Insomnium, Doro, Blackbraid and many more! Hellsinki Metal Festival, organized for the first time this year, found its own place on the Finnish festival grounds on the second weekend of August in 2023. More than 11,000 visitors were able to enjoy a bold and versatile lineup of performers, which also included several bands that rarely visit Finland.
