Cult Of Fire to Perform with Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague at Brutal Assault

Cancer Bats Share “Weird Punx” Single and Video, with EU Tour Kicking Off This Week


Canadian hardcore punks, Cancer Bats, have released “Weird Punx”, a ‘b-side’ from their seventh studio LP, Psychic Jailbreak. They also head out on tour in the EU with Kvelertak from October 10th, later playing in Canada as Bat Sabbath, along with Ethereal Tomb and Black Mastiff. After hearing horror stories about the queues I was pleasantly surprised to arrive at the hollow turn of Donington for Download Festival 2023, and was parked up within 10 minutes. Not to dismiss the stories is it close the rather excellent download festival app a tool which I would find invaluable during my visit constantly advising incoming travellers of reach to avoid owing to congestion.Continue reading

ALBUM REVIEW: Cancer Bats – Psychic Jailbreak


This year will mark 18 years since the seminal Cancer Bats formed. After six albums, the band has cemented their heavy wild sound. Psychic Jailbreak (Bat Skull Records / New Damage Records) marks the first album since the departure of founding member, Scott Middleton, last year. The main question on every fans’ lips is whether this change in the lineup also marks the departure of their signature sound that has been developed over the years.
