Linkin Park Announce Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara as Their New Singer, New Album Coming Soon


Linkin Park are officially back, and their new singer is Emily Armstrong of the band Dead Sara. They also announced their new full-band lineup. The band are playing an exclusive show this afternoon in Los Angeles, California for members of their Linkin Park Underground fan club, and it marks their first performance as Linkin Park since 2017. According to a press release, Emily Armstrong of the band Dead Sara is Linkin Park’s new vocalist. Returning to the lineup are Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson and Dave “Phoenix” Farrell. Linkin Park Launches Mysterious 100-Hour Countdown Timer, Will Announce Their Comeback Next Week


 Linkin Park has launched a mysterious 100-hour countdown timer on its web site and official social media accounts. The same countdown timer was shared by the Instagram account of Welcome To Rockville, adding to longtime speculation that some of the band’s surviving members will perform at next year’s edition of the Danny Wimmer Presents-produced festival, and likely all of their 2025 festivals, as well as other major music festivals. Past announcements of major bands booked for DWP fests for the following year such as Metallica, Slipknot, Foo Fighters, Guns N Roses and Pantera are announced ahead of full lineups which follow after. For months on end different people in the music industry have been dropping rumors that some members of Linkin Park will reunite next year for a tour or a tribute tour with a female singer. Rumors connected to the band includes Amy Lee of Evanescence, Hailey Williams of Paramore, and also potentially Deryck Whibley of Sum 41, who are retiring at the end of their current tour in January 2025. Linkin Park has been inactive as a regular band other than legacy releases and boxed sets since the death of frontman Chester Bennington in 2017. The countdown timer is scheduled to end on Wednesday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. PDT.  Continue reading

Linkin Park Has Settled The Lawsuit Filed Against the Band by Former Bassist Kyle Christner 


After just a few months since being filed, Linkin Park and their former bassist Kyle Christner have settled their lawsuit, filed Christner against the band in November 2023 over writing credits and unpaid royalties. Christner was in the band in their formative years, and wrote material with the band in late nineties which wound up on early releases, pre-major label debut demos, and a later Deluxe Edition of the the multi-platinum global smash record and Nu Metal icon Hybrid Theory (Warner Music). Linkin Park has issued a statement through their label Warner Records, saying an “amicable resolution” with Christner. No further details are available regarding the resolution. Christner is listed as a session and touring musician, playing for Linkin Park between 1998 and 1999. Continue reading

Linkin Park has shared a new single and music video for the previously unreleased song “Friendly Fire!” The track comes off their upcoming album Papercuts 2000-2023 The Singles Collection due out on April 12th 2024 via Warner Music. Pre-orders are live now at the links below. “Friendly Fire” is an outtake from the band’s final album so far, One More Light (Warner Music) released in may of 2017, exactly two month’s prior to the death of Chester Bennington. Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda Has Shared a Brand New Single and Music Video for “Already Over” 


 

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda has released a new solo single, “Already Over”. Watch the music video for the song, directed and animated by Dusty Deen and featuring visuals contributed by Shinoda, Frank Maddocks, Mark Fiore and Mike Miller below. Shinoda said about the song: “‘Already Over’ came to me as I was sitting with my favorite guitar in my hands — the same guitar I used on songs from ‘What I’ve Done’ to ‘In My Head’. There was a familiar DNA to the song that I think Linkin Park fans will recognize. For me, it creates a bridge from the past to a blurry but exciting future.” Along with “Already Over” Shinoda will release a connected online game via his web site next week.
