Deftones have shared the details for their fifth annual Dia De Los Deftones festival, set for Saturday, Nov. 2 at Petco Park in San Diego, CA. Headlined, hosted, and curated by Deftones, the all-ages festival lineup also features IDLES, Sunny Day Real Estate (performing Diary in its entirety), Health, Paris Texas, Duster, Gel and Qendresa. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 26 at 10 a.m. PT at Ticketmaster. Deftones’ Artist Presale will run Wednesday, July 24 at 10 a.m. PT to Thursday, July 25 at 10 p.m. PT.Continue reading


Lamb of God Share a New Version of “Laid To Rest” – Remixed by HEALTH


With their groundbreaking album, Ashes of the Wake, turning 20 this August, Lamb of God have dropped a new version of the track “Laid To Rest,” remixed by industrial metallers HEALTH.  The deluxe, 20th anniversary edition of the album is coming August 30th, via Epic Records and Legacy Recordings. Besdies HEALTH, the re-release will feature new mixes by Justin K Broadrick (Godflesh/Jesu), as well as demo and live versions of the album’s classic songs. Lamb Of God, who launch their Ashes of Leviathan co-headlining tour with Mastodon tomorrow in Austin, Texas.

This year’s festival will take place at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois, from September 20-22nd, featuring 90+ bands over 3-days, and will feature RiotLand, an immersive “Choose Your Own Adventure” world that promises to elevate the festival experience to new heights. Riot Fest, while reluctant to leave its longtime home in Chicago, made the difficult decision to relocate due to issues with the Park District, which paved the way for RiotLand, a 3-day version of which will be explorable on the Riot Fest website starting tomorrow. Health Collaborate with Lauren Mayberry (CHVRCHES) on A New Version of Their Song “Ashamed”



L.A. industrial-rock band, Health, have released a reworking of their track, “Ashamed,” in collaboration with CHVRCHES vocalist, Lauren Mayberry. The original version appeared on their latest album, Rat Wars (Loma Vista Recordings), with this new take featuing Mayberry on two verses, blending with Health singer Jake Duzsik. Full disclosure there is in no way I can present an unbiased opinion about Roadburn. This is my seventh straight year and I’m gifted a much greater amount of privilege than the average attendee. I’ve earned lifelong friendships. It’s become more than just a music festival for me. It’s a second home for five days out of every year. I’m allowed to work alongside other extremely talented and hard-working photographers and for a limited time at the beginning of every set I’m granted the best spot in the house.  For me music is my safe space vs photography which is my special interest.Continue reading
