Strange things are afoot at the Circle K, but also in the metal world as three legend status bands are teasing something major! According to a published report at Metal Insider, Faith No More, Korn, System of A Down have all shared the same graphic of a spaceman (see it below), teasing an announcement for Monday! (Editor’s note: Helmet and Russian Circles are now added.) Shockingly accurate music tour leaks site Wolverine Kills is suggesting it will be a tour! Slipknot’s Jim Root and Mick Thomson Named “Best Metal Guitarists In The World.”


According to a poll on the Music Radar website, Slipknot’s Jim Root and Mick Thomson have been named “Best Metal Guitarists In The World.” The pair received over 17,000 votes, beating out such names as James Hetfield (Metallica); James “Munky” Shaffer and Brian “Head” Welch (Korn); Olavi Mikkonen and Johan Söderberg (Amon Amarth); Richard Z.Kruspe and Paul Landers (Rammstein); Phil Sgrosso and Nick Hipa, Sean Long and Mat Welsh (While She Sleeps); Kerry King and Gary Holt (Slayer); Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel (Killswitch Engage); and Alexi Laiho and Daniel Freyberg (Children Of Bodom) in a vote by fans of the site. Think back if you will to the late great 1999. That was the year we were supposed to party like we were out of time. The states were in the throes of the Y2K scare. It was the year Nelson Mandela stepped down as president of South Africa and Kosovo went to war. It was also the year that Korn released Issues (Immortal/Epic Records). The first single, ‘Falling Away From Me’ was actually given away for free to the fans. Korn and Breaking Benjamin have booked a co-headline tour for winter of 2020 across North Ameria. Direct support to come from Bones UK. Produced by Live Nation, the expansive 24-city outing will kick off January 23 in Allentown, Pennsylvania and make stops in Montreal, Columbus, St. Paul, Portland and more, before wrapping March 1 in Fresno, California.
