Watch Mötley Crüe Play a “Secret” Club Show at New York City’s Legendary Bowery Ballroom
Mötley Crüe played a rare “secret” club show Monday night May 6th, 2024 at New York’s historic Bowery Ballroom. The band was billed as “1981” buu it was an open secret it was Crue. 1981 is the year Mötley Crüe was founded and released their debut single – “Live Wire,” as well as, their debut album “Too Fast For Love!” The band released their new single, the first with guitarist John 5 after he replaced Mick Mars, “Dogs of War.” The track is the first release in the bands’ new deal with Big Machine musice. The artist known as John-5 has had an impressive career playing behind David Lee Roth, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, and most recently has become a permanent member of Mötley Crüe. He didn’t find himself playing in these positions because he could support anyone but because he is an amazing guitar player in his own right. Mötley Crüe has announced the cancelation of its “Crüe Year’s Eve” concert on December 31 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California due to “issues beyond the band’s control.” Mötley Crüe released the following statement today (Thursday, December 21st) via social media:

There aren’t many metalheads who haven’t heard of Dokken. Whether it’s due to their huge popularity during the eighties, the constant if occasionally amusing public sniping between frontman Don Dokken and former lead guitarist George Lynch or, most likely because of “Dream Warriors,” the theme song from 1987 horror sequel A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 3, Dokken’s name still stands above many.
