Pantera Has Been forced to Cancel Their Appearance at Aftershock Festival, Stone Temple Pilots Will ReplaceThem

Pantera has dropped off of Aftershock Festival in a few weeks, due to “circumstances beyond their control!” The band was one of the first announced for the festival when their tour with Metallica and reunion was announced. Read a statement below from the band. They will be replaced at Aftershock by Stone Temple Pilots, and it sounds like Pantera will play at Aftershock 2024. We caught up with artist Katacombs at Aftershock for a brief interview! Signed to Liar’s Club Records, Kat supported her brother, Amigo The Devil at the festival, as a member of his backing band. She also has her own recent solo EP, is working on a new full-length record, and will appear on the new album by Amigo The Devil due out later in 2023 as well.

Metallica continues to share new pro-shot videos from their recent return to the stage. The band headlined the Danny Wimmer Presents festival Louder Than Life last weekend. They topped the bill on two nights, with two different shows, including one where they performed all of “The Black Album.” In addtion to upcoming fests like Aftershock and Welcome To Rockville, they also recently played series of rare intimate shows earlier this month at the The Metro in Chicago and The independent in San Francisco. The band texted their fans via a new service and the tickets to the tiny venues, and both shows sold out in less than 1 hour. Metallica just released The Black Album Remastered Boxed Set and The Black Album Blacklist covers album on September 10th, 2021. Mudvayne Reunites After A 12-Year Break, Booked to Play All Four Danny Wimmer Presents 2021 Festivals

Mudvayne is back! As we reported they would several months ago, they have announced their return after a 12-year hiatus, and will be performing exclusively at all four Danny Wimmer Presents U.S. festivals in 2021: Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival (a headlining performance) in Ohio, Louder Than Life in Kentucky, Aftershock in California and Welcome To Rockville in Florida. These dates mark the band’s first shows since 2009 and their only dates this year. The band shared a video announcement which you can watch here:
