Down returns with their first new studio album in more than a decade. Following 2014’s Down IV, Volume V arrives November 20 via Nuclear Blast Records, one of the most anticipated records this year. Philip Anselmo, Kirk Windstein, Pepper Keenan, Pat Bruders, and Jimmy Bower remain among heavy music’s most formidable supergroups, and “Blood Oath” makes clear the wait has been worth every year.

The “Blood Oath” video was shot by Mike Holderbeast and Metal Dave Gonzalez, produced by Kate Richardson-Anselmo, with additional cameras by Emily Blanke.

Down are currently on the Strap It Down summer North American tour, with support from Helmet and Spirit in the Room, which kicked off on August 15 in Atlanta and wraps on September 4 in Shakopee, Minnesota, supporting Slayer. The run also includes two slots at Zakk Wylde’s Berzerkus Festival on August 28 in Scranton and August 29 at Jones Beach in Wantagh, New York, where Lamb of God, Black Label Society, and more fill out the bill. Festival appearances at Aftershock, Sick New World Texas, and the Decibel Metal and Beer Fest follow in the fall.
