Bassist Ross Sewage says: “EXHUMED is firing on all cylinders to get back on the long and grinding road for the sequel to our Red Asphalt North American tour. You thought we did a drive-by on your town last tour? Wrong! We were just waiting for the right time to crash the party. This time we’re taking our warnings about reckless road warriors and dipstick drivers up north, way north, including the Great White North! EXHUMED is finally returning to the land of snow and Timmy Ho’s! Buckle those seat belts, kids, it’s going to be a helluva ride!”
Red Asphalt, released February 20 via Relapse Records, finds Exhumed turning their gore-obsessed lens on a familiar American horror: the roadway. Vehicular homicide, defective cars, reckless drivers, zombified biker gangs, true to the band’s spirit, the record drags listeners through a whirlwind of riffy, high-octane deathgrind madness.
