The inaugural Born Dead Music Festival (Born Dead Fest) will take place September 2-3, 2023 in Albany, NY across two stages at Empire Live and Empire Underground. Post-Hardcore leaders Every Time I Die have announced details of their 2022 UK tour, taking place in January and February next year. Direct support will come from The Bronx, Jesus Piece, and Sanction. Full dates are below and the tickets will go on sale Friday, April 16th at 9 am UK time. The band released three new singles during the pandemic era, “Colossal Wreck”, “Desperate Pleasures” and “AWOL”. Their last full length was 2016’s Low Teens, via Epitaph Records.
Terrible news for the music world as published reports announced that Power Trip frontman Riley Gale, has passed away. He was 34 (UPDATE: Riley’s age was originally said to be 35, and we have edited this story). Power Trip ascended to the new wave of American Metal, combining Crossover Thrash and Hardcore, partly on the strength of Riley’s incredible performances, brilliant politically-minded lyrics, and killer style. No cause of death has been revealed and according to a statement from the band, funeral and visitation arrangements are pending. Riley was a brilliant talent and mind, and he will be missed. Even Fox News, once a source of ire from Riley, had to pay respect! We interviewed him a few years back and he was awesome. The band has been one of the best in the world live in a short period of time. Crushing news for the summer festival season in Europe, as France’s legendary Hellfest, has been canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The festival announced today it was unable to host the festival, which takes place in Clisson, France, outside of Paris. Hellfest 2021 is already announced for next summer. The “Underneaththeskin_ Tour”, which is set to kick off March 30 in Boston, Massachusetts, will feature special guests Show Me The Body, Jesus Piece, Year Of The Knife and Machine Girl. Pre-sale tickets will be available today, January 21 at 12:00 p.m. PT to Citi card members, with additional artist pre-sales beginning Wednesday, January 22 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
