Louder Than Life 2025 Announces Full Lineup Slayer, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Avenged Sevenfold, Sleep Token, Breaking Benjamin, Deftones, Bad Omens, A Perfect Circle and More
Louder Than Life will be disturbing the peace in 2025 with one of the biggest and LOUDEST festivals in North America all year. Over 160 bands will perform on 6 stages September 18, 19, 20 & 21 at the Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY for the 11th edition of Louder Than Life. Louder Than Life 2025 also marks the largest lineup in the history of producer Danny Wimmer Presents. In addition to the previously announced return of metal legends Slayer, the four-day destination event will also feature Rob Zombie in a global exclusive performance of Astro-Creep: 2000 in honor of the album’s 25th anniversary, plus Marilyn Manson on Thursday; Avenged Sevenfold, Sleep Token and Breaking Benjamin on Friday; Deftones, Bad Omens and A Perfect Circle on Saturday; and Bring Me The Horizon, $uicideboy$ and Evanescence on Sunday.Continue reading
Maul Kick Off North American Tour Dates This Week in Support of Their Album “In The Jaws Of Bereavement”
North Dakota death metallers, Maul, are about to kick off a huge series of North American live dates, spanning from February 06th in Austin, TX, through to May 18th at Milwaukee Metal Fest. These performances come in support of their latest album, In The Jaws Of Bereavement, out now on 20 Buck Spin records. The multi-tour schedule sees them joined by The Acacia Strain, Life Cycles, Sawed Off, Frozen Soul, Gates To Hell, Windchimes, and Snuffed On Sight, on various dates. Milwaukee Metal Festival has just welcomed even more bands to its 2025 bill, with Gwar, Arch Enemy, Oppressor, Wormrot, Between The Buried And Me, Sacred Reich, Necrot, and Frozen Soul joining the lineup. The festival will take place once again at The Rave/Eagles Ballroom from May 16-18, 2025, with the pre-party kicking off on May 15, and more acts still to be added. Deadbody and Tribal Gaze Share Three New Tracks – Split Album Coming Soon
Modern death metal bands, Deadbody and Tribal Gaze, have paired up for a new split LP, due out November 15th via the record labels Closed Casket Activities and Maggot Stomp. With this announcement, each band has offered an early taste of the record. Deadbody have shared the seven-second war cry “D.E.A.D.B.O.D.Y.” and the comparatively expansive “Six Shots Saved.” Tribal Gaze have shared “Twitching On The Cross” and its accompanying music video. Kicking off 2024 with bang, we headed out to the first show of the year at legendary The Warfield! Hometown heroes Machine Head have not played the city in a few years, and joining them on this epic tour was Fear Factory who missed last year’s show in the city with Static-X. Joining them on this joint are current buzz band Orbit Culture who just got signed to Century Media Records, and Gates To Hell from Louisville opening This is a very strong bill top to bottom especially with two of the most dominant and enduring names in Metal from the nineties still at the top!Continue reading
Watch a Sock Puppet Version of Machine Head in a New Trailer for Their Upcoming “Slaughter The Martøur Nørth America 2024” with Fear Factory
Bay Area Thrash icons Machine Head have shared a new teaser trailer for their first leg of their “Slaughter The Martøur Nørth America 2024” tour, featuring sock puppet versions of the band. The hilarious clip touts a new song “Metal Is Fucking Awesome” that is then heard in the video. Forgoing their “An Evening With…” format for the first time in a decade, Machine Head will have LA’s cyber-metal masters Fear Factory, Sweden’s Orbit Culture, and Louisville, KY’s Gates To Hell. The run of dates kicks off in a few weeks on January 19th in San Francisco at The Warfield. The band continues to tour behind 2022’s ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN, the Ghost Cult Album of the Year for 2022, as voted on by our staff. FESTIVAL REVIEW: Milwaukee Metal Fest 2023 Live at The Rave – Eagles Club
The Rave/Eagles Club is an acclaimed live entertainment complex located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is a one-of-a-kind spot to catch a heavy metal show. The multi-stage and multi-floor building has a fascinating history and many music groups consider playing there a “rite of passage” as performers. The Milwaukee Metal Fest was launched in 1987 by music enthusiast and promoter Jack Koshick, which became one of the most renowned festivals for the heavy genres in the 1990s and early 2000s. All the greats from Slayer to Meshuggah to the Misfits were all part of the impressive lineups throughout the years until it shut down in 2004. After being absent for nearly twenty years, the fest has been brought back to life by Hatebreed‘s Jamey Jasta. He bought the rights in 2022 and put together a fest to take place on Memorial Day weekend at The Rave with some of the scene’s biggest bands. Continue reading
