Download Festival 2023, celebrating 20 years as a festival has added 40 new bands to the lineup and announced its day-splits for the weekend! Newly added to the festival are Halestorm, Neck Deep, Hot Milk, Alter Bridge, Bob Vylan, Electric Callboy, Carcass, Five Finger Death Punch, Palaye Royale, Jinjer, and many more. The full list can be viewed below. Already the fastest-selling event in its 20-year history. Day tickets are on sale now! The four-day festival (first time ever) is headlined by Metallica, who are performing two unique headline sets over the weekend with no songs repeated, and will be joined by fellow headliners Slipknot, and Bring Me The Horizon. Coming this summer, Inkcarceration Music and Tattoo Festival, the annual Heavy Music, Tattoo, and food experience fest is coming back to the infamous Ohio State Reformatory In Mansfield, Ohio this July 15th-17th, 2022. The fest is headed up by Korn, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, Disturbed, Papa Roach, Falling in Reverse, Lamb of God, Three Days Grace, Seether, and tons of other bands! The fest also features more than 60 famous tattoo artists, an array of food options for the event, self-guided tours of the prison made famous in The Shawshank Redemption & “Escape From Blood Prison” Haunted House. Hosted by SiriusXM’s Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin, Inkcarceration has now revealed their day-by day schedule.

EP REVIEW: Saint Asonia – Introvert

I’ve always been a sucker for a tasty, “unusual” or “unexpected” cover version. Some fans hate them, some bands hate being remembered for them, some say they are cynical clickbait. But I very often like ’em. No strangers to covers (Phil Collins’ ‘I Don’t Care Anymore’, anyone?), this Toronto-formed outfit include here their already-released reworking of Canadian hot-stuff The Weeknd’s smash banger ‘Blinding Lights’. And I’ll be Goddamned if they haven’t turned it into a Saint Asonia song – glorious, even joyous, expertly conceived, adapted, and delivered. Superb guys! Inspired!
