CONCERT REVIEW: At The Gates – Municipal Waste – Enforced Live at Irving Plaza


 

Recently renovated classic venue Irving Plaza in New York City is the scene for the finale of the US leg of At The Gates most popular album, Slaughter of the Soul. Enforced opened the night. They’re an interesting group to me. They sound like a mix of Death Metal/Thrash with a some hardcore-tinged vocals. Whatever they’re going for, it’s working for them. I dig it.

ALBUM REVIEW: Municipal Waste – Electrified Brain


The artwork that emblazons Municipal Waste’s Electrified Brain (Nuclear Blast) sets the scene as strongly as anything else could have: a Flying-V guitar violently piercing the left cheek of a skeletal head that’s also being shocked. Tattoo The Earth Returns with Anthrax, Black Label Society, Hatebreed, At The Gates, Municipal Waste, Enforced This Summer! 


Tattoo The Earth is set to make its return as a one-day fest this summer, according to an announcement from MassConcerts founder Scott Alderman! Featuring Anthrax, Black Label Society, Hatebreed, At The Gates, Municipal Waste, Enforced and many more to be announced, Tattoo The Earth will take place at The Palladium Outdoors in Worcester, Massachusetts on Saturday, August 27. Tattoo The Earth will feature two stages of live music, a tattoo village hosted by Zaza Ink — one of the leading tattoo shops in Massachusetts — and a festival village, which will include piercing, body painting, art events, contests, and more. Food trucks and a Bacon & Bourbon tent will also be on site. Pre-sale tickets go on sale tomorrow at the link below.
