Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival Announces Music Set Times, Two Special After Parties, New Bands with Metallica, Linkin Park, Korn, Alice in Chains, Rob Zombie, and More


The Biggest Rock Fest in Columbus History, Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival officially kicks off in less than two weeks, May 8-11 at Historic Crew Stadium in Ohio. Producer Danny Wimmer Presents is pleased to announce the music performance set times, two special after parties, and the launch of the 2025 mobile app so fans can start building their dream itineraries for the four-day event. Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival will feature more than 100 bands on 4 stages, including Metallica in their festival debut, offering a “No Repeat Weekend” with two nights, two unique sets on Friday and Sunday. On Thursday, Korn will headline after sets from Bad Omens and Three Days Grace. On Friday, Metallica will be supported by Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper, and on Saturday Linkin Park will be supported by Incubus and I Prevail. Metallica will close out the weekend on Sunday night with Alice In Chains and Chevelle. Danny Wimmer Presents is an acclaimed music festival production company that hosts some of the top entertainment experiences in the country. The pride and joy of their collection is Kentucky’s Louder Than Life Festival. The first one was presented in Louisville ten years ago and has flourished since then. With over 170,000 attendees at last year’s event and even more this year, it has grown to be one of the biggest rock festivals in the United States. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, they pulled out all the stops for this monumental milestone. The full music lineup has been announced for the fourth year of Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival, including some incredible firsts for the Pinnacle of Rock Festivals in America, held May 8, 9, 10 & 11 at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

More than 100 bands will take the stage during the four-day destination event, marking its biggest year ever. The festival will feature a massive lineup of rock royalty including LINKIN PARK with new co-vocalist Emily Armstrong; they will make their debut at Sonic Temple headlining on Saturday in one of the band’s first shows in seven years. Coal Chamber Pulls Out of Aftershock 2024, Due to Dez Fafara’s Ongoing Health Issues


Coal Chamber has announced they have canceled their appearance at Aftershock 2024 next weekend. This is following the postponement of their fall 2024 tour dates until spring 2025 due to ongoing health issues suffered by frontman Dez Fafara. The band has been replaced on the bill by their frequent touring mates Dope. FESTIVAL REVIEW: Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival, Live at Crew Stadium Part 1


 

Sonic Temple Art And Music Festival returned to Columbus, Ohio for the first time after taking three gap years. 

Let’s begin with a little context. The inaugural instance of Sonic Temple was in 2019. Leading up to the event, festival promoter Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) had discontinued an arrangement with AEG Presents to jointly produce Rock On The Range, the festival in Columbus, Ohio that Sonic Temple replaced. So, Sonic Temple needed to be different enough from Rock On The Range to dispel any raised eyebrows about the move. DWP also broke off ties at about the same time with AEG for their jointly created Carolina Rebellion festival and started a new one in its place called Epicenter. While those moves might have been sound business decisions, it still turned out to be a tough year for DWP festivals.
