Rotting Christ, Chimaira, Scour, Tesseract and Evil Dead Booked for Milwaukee Metal Festival


Milwaukee Metal Festival has just announced a new wave of bands for its 2025 edition. Taking place at The Rave/Eagles Ballroom from May 16-18, with the pre-party kicking off on May 15, the event will now feature Rotting Christ, Chimaira, Scour, Tesseract and Evil Dead. As part of the festival’s 12 Days of Christmas campaign,  the festival will be revealed a new artist every day through this weekend. The full lineup will be unveiled just before the holidays. Emperor Books a Headline Tour with Support from Wolves In The Throne Room, Agalloch, and Wayfarer


Black Metal legends Emperor will kick off a short North American tour next May. Support on select dates will come from Wolves In The Throne Room, Agalloch, and Wayfarer. Gaerea Join European “Crypt Of Ancestral Knowledge” Tour Dates with Wolves In The Throne Room and Mortiferum


Portuguese black metallers, Gaerea, have just dropped the news that they are joining as the special guest on Wolves in the Throne Room‘s upcoming European tour. Further support comes from Mortiferum, who are set to open this run of 22 shows. Garea also closed 2023 recording their third album, scheduled for release later this year. Mortiferum Replace Sylvaine at Fortress Fest, joining Triptykon, Wolves In The Throne Room, Blackbraid, and more


US atmospheric death metal band, Mortiferum, have been brought in to replace Sylvaine, after they withdrew from North Yorkshire’s Fortress Festival. Also appearing at the event are Triptykon, Wolves In The Throne Room, Panopticon, Blackbraid, Misþyrming, Regarde Les Hommes Tomber, and more. FESTIVAL REVIEW: Roadburn Festival 2023


 

Let’s get one thing out of the way, Roadburn is still the premier underground fest that it has always been. I know so many people who went into this year’s fest expecting it to be their last, saying the lineup wasn’t for them, or that they didn’t like this change or that change. But I can tell you, they have all already booked rooms and bought tickets for next year. Change isn’t bad.
