Over the years, I have come across music that covers the full spectrum of emotion and appreciate most of it. Sometimes I just need a good angry album to take the edge off, and Mugshot has delivered just that. All The Devils Are Here (Pure Noise Records) is a storm of twelve tracks that blow past you in less than half an hour. The mixture of hardcore punk and Swedish death metal ebbs and flows in either direction as the album progresses, keeping my attention.Continue reading

Fit For An Autopsy have just dropped a live music video for their track, “Lower Purpose,” filmed and edited by Cameron Nunez. The original appears on their seventh album, The Nothing That Is, released last fall through Nuclear Blast Records. Nashville metal/hardcore troops, Orthodox, have announced a headlining Summer tour in the US. The run comes in support of their upcoming album, A Door Left Open, due June 6th, through Century Media Records, and kicks off with a hometown release show. Also on the bill are Year of the Knife and Inclination, in addition to Mugshot, Omerta and fromjoy, who join the entire tour.
