It’s going to be a big year for Dethklok with their new album, movie, and co-headling tour with Babymetal. It’s been over 10 years since we’ve heard anything from Nathan Explosion and the gang and the fact they are back deserves celebration.

When anger calls, it’s important to strike the iron while it’s still hot.
And that has never been a problem for Australia-based behemoths Werewolves. Their brand of death metal has always been as straightforward as their name. And barely a year after the ferocious From The Cave To The Grave the equally ferocious and downright vitriolic My Enemies Look And Sound Like Me (Prosthetic Records) is here and more vengeful than ever.
Having been seven years since the release of their stellar debut full-length album Solipsist (Unique Leader Records), it was sadly seeming to be the case that Technical Death Metaller’s The Zenith Passage were perhaps going to be lost to the annals of time. Israeli-based tech-death outfit Structural are no strangers to taking time to hash out any kinks before finishing a full-length. Five years removed from their self-released debut album, the five-piece accentuate their talents on Decrowned (ViciSolum Productions/Sound Pollution).
If you would have told me a few years ago that I’d be reviewing Dave Ellefson’s new Death Metal band I probably would have thought that you were fucking with me. Megadeth has always been a favorite of mine and I have always enjoyed catching him live. He’s been a thrash titan for years, is heavily involved with his Christian faith and just comes off as a laid-back and mellow dude. The last type of project I thought I’d ever see him as a part of is a skull-crunching Death Metal group.
Ghost Cult’s Ojaay chatted with mainstay guitarist Josh Elmore of Cattle Decapitation! The band is releasing their new album “Terrasite” soon via Metal Blade Records! Josh discussed how he joined the band, his impact as one of the longest-serving members, his past non-metal project with Weasel Walter, CDs’ return to a hearty touring schedule, and more!
The first night of a tour is always a mix of emotions for an artist. The excitement of a new tour. The possibility of what could be. After all the unglamorous toil and travel, the opportunity to see your hard work in the studio and every other element of your years of work payoff. All for that briefest part of the day, sharing the music with fans.
