The latest band to come out of Epitaph Records’ fine collection of artists is Death Lens. With humble beginnings of being essentially a “party punk” band to today, Death Lens have truly evolved into a whole new beast, bringing politics to the forefront of their music, with all that they’ve experienced since beginning the band in the early 2010’s. Cold World is set to be the culmination of that process. “It’s the desire to thrive in a deteriorating world” stated the band. It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been a decade since Michael “Moose” Thomas left metal big-hitters Bullet For My Valentine citing “It just got boring”. 

The drummer then went on to show his true potential with former members of Still Remains and Threat Signal, with the debut album of his new project Kill The Lights. However, premade gift sets have a tendency to be overpriced and generic. You’re better off grabbing an empty box and filling it up with a variety of airplane bottles. It’s kind of like a box of chocolates—But booze.

Idles have come on in leaps and bounds since their last album Joy As An Act of Resistance (Partisan Records). It’s not even been 5 years since they were playing 100 capacity venues, yet here they are today having sold out giant venues like Alexandra Palace in under a day. With two giant albums under their belt, the big question was how the Bristol band were going to not only top it, but maintain the astronomical growth they’ve been on for the past 3 years.

Watch Snoop Dogg Send a Shoutout to 311 on 30 Years As a Band

Rap Rockers 311 celebrated 30 years in music a few years back as the band was officially founded in 1988 and has had the same lineup intact since 1992, one of the longest lineups in rock history. The band released their first official full-length in 1993 with the album Music (Capricorn/Volcano) and their last album came out a year ago, Voyager via BMG. The band had toured all over the world and played festivals from pop to metal, and even had March 11th dubbed 311 Day”. Watch their friend, Rap Legend Snoop Dogg, shout them out!
