Tomas Lindberg, Vocalist of At The Gates, Has Died

Sad news as legendary Death Metal vocalist and co-founder of At The Gates, Tomas Lindberg, has died. He was just 52. The news comes via Swedish broadcaster SVT. Last month, Lindberg revealed that he had been battling adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) — a rare type of cancer that typically arises from the salivary glands — for roughly 18 months. The band completed their latest album just after Lindberg revealed his diagnosis. Lindberg co-founded At the Gates in 1990. He was also a member of The Crown, Disfear, Lock-Up, and The Great Deceiver, among others. RIP. Continue reading

Of all the websites in the world, financial magazine and website Forbes has released a list of the top 38 metal bands of all-time. The list actually has no real surprises. All the top most popular bands of all-time are present, topped by Metallica, with virtually no other surprises in terms of major underground bands. In picking their list Forbes wrote that it’s “impossible to include all metal sub-genres in this type of list, the sub-genres that are most prominent and influential across metal today were considered with priority.” They added that all 38 bands were chosen due to having “the most significant impact in the metal genre, and a number of these bands are among the genre’s most famous and revered bands.”

Lamb Of God Shares Headbangers Boat After Movie from 2023


Modern metal legends Lamb of God have shared the official after movie from the Headbangers Boat Cruise. Sailing on the Norwegian Gem ship and cruising to the Dominican Republic, the 2024 cruise will feature Lamb Of God, along with Dethklok, Chimaira, Poison The Well, At The Gates, Soulfly, Corrosion of Conformity and many more. The full lineup so far is below but the exact dates of the cruise are not yet announced.  The cruise is organized by Sixthman (Chris Jericho, Coheed and Cambria cruises), which is in partnership with Norwegian Cruise Line. There will also be an appearance by Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton’s solo band, as well as stand-up comedy by Shayne Smith and Mike Abrusci.
