CONCERT REVIEW: Tool – Elder Live at Footprint Center


February 9th and 10th the Footprint Center stage, in Phoenix, AZ, lit up with the powerhouse that is Tool with direct support from Boston bred/and mostly now Germany-based band Elder. Elder started by warming up our ears to their heavy riffs and long instrumentals. This was my first time experiencing Elder, and I had never heard of the band until then. After this one experience though, I can easily see how the band fits and compliments Tool on this tour, as they too have some psychedelic and captivating soundscapes that just simply fits. ALBUM REVIEW: MTVoid (Tool) – Matter’s Knot, Pt.1


 

Tool’s bassist Justin Chancellor and Polish Alt-Metal outfit Sweet Noise’s frontman Peter Mohamed first met at a European music festival. A shared desire to collaborate in some way or another finally came to fruition in 2013 with MTVoid’s first album, Nothing’s Matter. Tool Books 2024 North American Tour Dates with Elder


Tool, following a weekend that saw the band headline Aftershock and play the historic Power Trip festival, have announced a new round of U.S. dates for 2024, a trek that marks the band’s return to Madison Square Garden for the first time since 2001, and includes a doubleheader at Los Angeles’ Cypto.com Arena. Direct support will come from Elder on all dates.

Tool Announces Viral Sensation Steel Beans As The Opening Act for Their Headline Tour


Tool is about to kick off their highly-anticipated first headline tour of 2023. The fall North American tour dates include the band’s first shows in Canada since 2019. Known for their eclectic and decidedly not metal opening acts, the has has shared that relatively unknown Steel Beans will be the one support on their tour. Steel Beans is the one-man garage-rock artist Jeremy DeBardi who was little-known before having success with viral videos on iInstagram in 2022. Steel Beans will join Tool on all but their festival dates in 2023. Congrats dude!
