In a story we are following up on, the official Ozzfest social media accounts have teased a potential return of the long-running and now long-missed metal and hard rock festival. The last ever Ozzfest was New Year’s Eve 2018 in Los Angeles (read our review here:), hinting that the event could make a comeback in 2027. Although no formal announcement has been made, founder Sharon Osbourne recently told Billboard that she has been in discussions with Live Nation about reviving the brand. Her wish was always for the fest to return helmed by her husband and metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July of 2025. According to the report, the revived version of Ozzfest would likely resemble its earlier touring format rather than the destination-style festival it was known for the last few years.
