Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Completes Recording His Second Solo Album


 

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has completed recording his new solo album, his second, at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, where he lives. Taylor began tracking the follow-up to 2020’s CMFT (Roadrunner Records) album in January with longtime producer Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther). Corey’s bassist Eliot Lorango posted the news to his Instagram with a few photos. In addition to CMFT in 2020, Taylor released CMFB…Sides, via Roadrunner Records last year. Taylor has said previously his solo work will stand alongside his time in Slipknot, and record and tour fully to support these projects. Stone Sour is officially on hiatus.

Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Begins Recording His Second Solo Album


 

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has entered the studio to begin recording his second solo album. Producer Jay Ruston (Anthrax) is once again helming the recording. Slipknot is releasing their “lost” album this spring, and has heavy touring plans for this year, while Stone Sour is on an extended hiatus. Read our review of Corey’s last album CMFT, here. Risks that led to the reward of a major label deal and a hugely successful career built on a foundation of unpredictability.

Corey Taylor of Slipknot Launches Non-Profit Organization Aiding Members Of Military And First Responders With PTSD


Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has launched The Taylor Foundation, a non-profit initiative that aims to help local organizations with their continued efforts to provide assistance and essential resources for members of the military and first responders living with post-traumatic stress disorder. Corey has partnered with Fandiem (known for their work with countless artists such as Metallica) and BandsInTown to give fans a chance to win a trip to London, England to attend his concert at the Palladium on October 17, including two VIP passes, round-trip flights plus a three-night hotel stay for two.

Corey Taylor Has Contracted COVID-19, Cancels Astronomicon Con Appearance


Sad news as Corey Taylor has tested positive for COVID-19, after being vaccinated previously. The frontman of Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman has canceled his appearance at Astronomicon convention in Ann Arbor, Michigan this weekend. Taylor was the headline artist of the con along with stars from AEW, the movie Clerks, horror movies, Mick Foley, Ice Nine Kills, Dirk Manning, and more!
