California-based melodic death metal outfit, Darkness Everywhere, are getting set to unleash their first full-length, To Conquer Eternal Damnation. The album is due for release on May 10th, via Creator-Destructor Records, and a first taste is now available in the form of lead single, “Retaliation.” The video for the new track was directed and edited by Alessandro Pulisci (Ugly Owl Films). Say what you like about Slipknot / Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor, whose ubiquity and happiness to share his thoughts on any and every subject put before him may well have contributed to his divisive standing, his love of music and willingness to represent the full spectrum of his tastes in his output is to be admired. And, while relentless touring may have previously restrained the recorded output, making the most of the opportunity to spend more time in the studio, the past couple of years have seen a rawkier debut solo record, and this sister piece.
Darkness Everywhere (Light This City, Crepuscle, and More) Shares New Single “Reign of Chaos
New Melodic Death Metal band Darkness Everywhere unites vocalist – guitarist -drummer Ben Murray (Light This City), guitarist Cameron Stucky (Crepuscle), and renowned muscian, producer, and engineer Zack Ohren (Machine Head, All Shall Perish, Pathology) on bass. The band was formed in late 2020 with the goal of writing songs heavily influenced by the classic mid-1990s Swedish Melo-Death sound. The Bay Area-based band will release their new full-length album, The Seventh Circle, will see a digital release on February 25th through Creator-Destructor – the label owned and operated by Murray.
