Slipknot’s Knotfest Japan joins the growing ranks of rescheduled festivals for 2021. Originally the first major festival postponed, Knotfest Japan will now take place on January 10th and 11th of next year with much of the same lineup. Hellfest 2020 is Officially Canceled, 2021 Fest Announced

Crushing news for the summer festival season in Europe, as France’s legendary Hellfest, has been canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The festival announced today it was unable to host the festival, which takes place in Clisson, France, outside of Paris. Hellfest 2021 is already announced for next summer. The 2020 edition was to have had Faith No More, and Down will be joined by Deftones, System Of A Down, Incubus, Korn, Mastodon, Opeth, Deep Purple, Judas Priest, The Offspring, Infectious Grooves, The Darkness, Obituary, Death DTA (the Death tribute featuring members of Death), At The Gates, Entombed AD, Sacred Reich, Devin Townsend, Meshuggah, The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Mayhem, Abbath, Rotting Christ, Primordial, The Great Old Ones, Wardruna, The Hu, Taake, Watain, Alcest, Borknagar, Gaahl’s Wyrd, Electric Wizard, Baroness, Om, Witchcraft, Black Mountain, Elder, ASG, Envy, Mono, John Garcia & the Band of Gold, High On Fire, Pelican, Killing Joke, Perturbator, Life of Agony, 3TEETH, Inter Arma, Body Count, Suicidal Tendencies, Youth of Today, Slapshot, Jesus Piece, Higher Power, Social Distortion, Anti-Flag, Agnostic Front, Reverend Horton Heat, Grade 2, Code Orange, and more. Roadburn 2020 Officially Canceled, Next Year’s Festival Announced


 

Roadburn Festival has exhausted all thoughts of holding a festival in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. They have announced that Roadburn 2021 will take place on 15-18 April 2021. Tickets purchased for the 2020 edition will remain valid and fans can just show up next year and enjoy the festival. Announcements about the lineup are forthcoming, and in terms of bands returning for 2021, it looks promising. Roadburn is far and away the best and most vital underground metal festival in the world, Roadburn has announced that the festival is postponed due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic. The fest was scheduled for April 16th and 19th in Tilburg, NL. Curators for 2020 were scheduled to be Emma Ruth Rundle and James Kent (Perturbator) with commissioned pieces including James Kent & Johannes Persson (Cult of Luna), Jo Quail Presents “The Cartographer”, Vile Creature & Bismuth: “A Hymn Of Loss And Hope, and a career-spanning set from Julie Christmas, which included new music-making a debut, and many more. Rebel Rock Fest Books Machine Gun Kelly and Members of Wu-Tang Clan


Rebel Rock Fest Presented By Monster Energy is the news festival added to the fall concert season. The fest has added Friday night headline artist Machine Gun Kelly, and Saturday act Legendary Wu, featuring Wu-Tang Clan members Ghostface Killah, Raekwon The Chef, and Killah Priest. They join a stacked lineup that already includes Judas Priest on their 50 Years of heavy Metal Tour, Limp Bizkit, Trivium, Sabaton, Sevendust, Fuel, I Prevail, Skillet, Wage War, All That Remains, Anti-Flag, Cold, Attila, Diamante, Them Evils, Cherry Bombs, Saul and more! Inferno Festival 2020 Has Been Cancelled Due To Coronavirus Restrictions


Sad news as one of the greatest metal festivals in the world, and a favorite of Ghost Cult, Inferno Festival 2020, set to take place in Oslo, Norway has been totally canceled. The fest was to feature Kreator, Mayhem, Triumph of Death, Amorphis, Venom, Gorgoroth, Marduk, Ihsahn, Kampfar, and many more! According to a message from the festival, “all public events in Norway are banned until the end of April, and this period might be extended. The health authorities estimate 4-5 months. Foo Fighters are bringing back their DC Jam concert this July 4th! Helmet and Russian Circles Now Added to the Faith No More, Korn, System of A Down Mystery Package


 

The plot thickens in the mystery of the Faith No More, Korn, System of A Down social media teasers with an astronaut on a spacewalk. Now both Helmet and Russian Circles, each leaders in their sub-genres have also posted the image with a one-word caption, “Monday”.  Helmet can be said to be a major influence of the three headliners.
