Just ahead of their forthcoming tour, Los Angeles legends Fishbone have returned with fire. The genre-smashing pioneers just released the video for “Secret Police,” a blistering visual companion to the track off their latest album Stockholm Syndrome. It’s a raw, visceral, and unapologetically confrontational video. 80s LA ska punks, Fishbone, are set a June 27 release date for Stockholm Syndrome, their ninth studio album, and first full-length LP in over two decades. The band is currently on the Summer Circus Tour with Less Than Jake, Suicide Machines, and Bite Me Bambi, with the Long Beach and D.C. dates of Vans Warped Tour also on the horizon. If you ask a fan of ska to name three pioneering acts, you’ll likely find a lot of people answering with Reel Big Fish, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (RIP) and Less Than Jake. And for good reason. The staying power of the three legendary bands speaks for themselves; Reel Big Fish formed in 1991, the Bosstones were around as early as the mid-1980s, and Less Than Jake first surfaced thirty years ago.
