Live Nation has released details for the 2019 “Ticket To Rock” sale, their annual deal for summer concerts where one ticket gets fans into major tours and events. Artists included in this year’s package are Alice In Chains, Breaking Benjamin, Behemoth, Chevelle, Gojira, Korn, Slipknot, Underoath, and Volbeat. Slayer and Shinedown will also be available in certain cities. This announcement also brings the news of these tours coming to fruition, including the rumored Korn/Alice In Chains co-headliner tour and Slipknot, Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth tour. Chicago Open Air, which took off 2018, is coming back hard in 2019! The first lineup was announced today and looks awesome! System of a Down, Tool, The Prodigy, Ghost, Meshuggah, Gojira, Beartooth, In This Moment, Code Orange, FEVER 333, Knocked Loose, The Black Dahlia Murder, Vein and Alien Weaponry are all announced with more names to come soon! Nick John, Acclaimed Manager Of Mastodon And Gojira Dies


Nick John who’s reputation as a brilliant band manager in the heavy music world was surpassed only his reputation as a person, has passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer. John worked for The Rick Sales Entertainment Group, known for their long association with acts like Slayer, Mastodon, and Gojira. Nick helped bring both the latter bands to a higher level of success in the last decade. Mastodon’s Brent Hinds posted a remembrance on his Instagram account, and many other artists and Nick’s colleagues in the business followed suit. Impact Music Festival 2018 Recap

With everyone firmly into the swing of things by now, Saturday’s main stage openers Nailed to Obscurity opened proceedings strongly enough but were promptly blown out of the water by one of the major surprises of the festival – Power Trip.
