In terms of a normal year for me, this has been anything but normal for attending concerts so far. This is actually been a good change. I decided for my health mental and physical well-being that I need to do less concert and Festival-going than in the past. Five years ago, I might have been at a show 6 days a week when I lived in Brooklyn. Now I’m down to a few every few months. Even though I do suffer from some fomo, I am picking and choosing my spots of when to make an appearance in the local scene here. We’ll see if it keeps up. Of all the websites in the world, financial magazine and website Forbes has released a list of the top 38 metal bands of all-time. The list actually has no real surprises. All the top most popular bands of all-time are present, topped by Metallica, with virtually no other surprises in terms of major underground bands. In picking their list Forbes wrote that it’s “impossible to include all metal sub-genres in this type of list, the sub-genres that are most prominent and influential across metal today were considered with priority.” They added that all 38 bands were chosen due to having “the most significant impact in the metal genre, and a number of these bands are among the genre’s most famous and revered bands.”

Behemoth Share a New Video for “The Thousand Plagues I Witness” – “XXX Years Ov Blasphemy Live Album and BluRay” Incoming
Polish extreme metal giants, the mighty Behemoth, have announced the release of their monumental anniversary concert XXX Years Ov Blasphemy which originally streamed online in 2021. The career-spanning show, held at and filmed on three different locations, has a total running time of 90 minutes, divided into three different acts. This very special set features fan favourites as well as a few selected deep cuts that Behemoth had rarely played live before. For this event Behemoth went all-in and took the concept of streaming shows during the pandemic to a whole new level, with a full production, incredibly detailed stage set-ups, breathtaking photography and a high-end sound recording. Way too good to only be seen or heard once, XXX Years Ov Blasphemy will now be officially released on October 25th, via Nuclear Blast as 3CD + BluRay, 3LP, and Digital Album.
