Hamtramck is a community of creatives that is nestled right up against the city of Detroit. This popular burb is home to some of Motor City’s favorite petite-sized concert halls. The Sanctuary is particularly popular for its inexhaustible source for live entertainment that caters to everything from Punk Rock to Black Metal. They have a small town charm in the middle of the big city where they welcome all to their dive bar vibes and small, but mighty stage. Last weekend, Khemmis brought their North America MMXXIII Tour to this prized place.
Since their earlier days as a formidable and unmistakable grindcore act, the evolution of Calgary, Alberta’s Wake has been an absolutely joyous spectacle to witness. Expanding their sound with wider influences and tones on later releases, the culmination up until this point was 2020’s spectacular Devouring Ruin which, whilst utterly furious and feral also conjured further expansiveness and intrigue to their sound. It was a truly exciting work that deservedly generated high expectations for what was next (as well as signing to Metal Blade Records). Decibel Magazine, America’s finest metal magazine has announced its first annual Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Denver event! It will take place December 2nd-3rd, 2022, at The Summit, and will feature Cannibal Corpse, Pig Destroyer, Dark Funeral among many other international and local bands! The even has beer in its name so it will also have some of the best (and Most Metal Breweries in the scene. The full lineup can be seen below and tickets go on sale Friday July, 22nd at 10 AM!
Technical Death Metal leaders Beneath The Massacre has dropped a brand new single for their new song ‘Treacherous’. The track comes from their forthcoming new album Fearmonger, due out on February 28th via Century Media Records, their very first for the label. The band is also hitting the road for the Occupation Domination North American Tour 2020 supporting Origin, Defeated Sanity, and Wake. They are also playing dates with And Hell Followed With.
