Legendary Brooklyn Metal Club Saint Vitus Bar to Return in a New Location This Fall


Over two years since being shut down in the middle of a show by the New York City Department of Buildings, Saint Vitus Bar will return to Brooklyn this fall in a new location. The new venue will be at 428 Troutman Street in Bushwick, the site of the old Brooklyn Made club, which closed in 2025. After a lot of teasing on social media leading up to the reveal, with a series of videos where Günther, the mascot/mannequin, left the bar at the old Greenpoint location on Manhattan Avenue and Clay Street, leaves his former home and sojourns to his new one. You can watch the last video in the series, which has him arriving at 428 Troutman and going inside, below.

Dubbed the “home of metal” in NYC, if not the USA, by Ghost Cult in our post-mortem about the closure, we are stoked to see it return!

Desertfest NYC 2025 is Canceled – The Fest Will Return in 2026


Desertfest, purveyors of Great Stoner rock, Psychedelic, and Doom metal festivals the world over has canceled their 2025 festival set to take place in September of 2025. Citing issues with headliners’ availability and rising costs for EU bands to come to the states, the festival will regroup and focus on 2026.
