After speculation by fans and industry pundits went wild for weeks, Sick New World 2025 has revealed they have canceled the planned event. hat event was scheduled to take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, NV on April 12th, 2025. Citing “Unforeseen Circumstances” the fest canceled in a post to their website and all social media. Fans have been promised full refunds within 30 days. This is the largest US festival cancelation since Blue Ridge Rock Festival went out of business and closed up shop just a few months after being announced. The lineup was to have featured a plethora of heavy hitters and legends featuring Metallica, Linkin Park, QOTSA, Evanescence, AFI, Ministry, Gojira, Acid Bath, The Flaming Lips, DOWN, Melvins, Testament, Meshuggah, Cannibal Corpse, Machine Head, Sisters of Mercy, Three Days Grace, Tomahawk, Cradle of Filth, Refused, Filter, Kittie, Terror, Mayhem, X, Poison the Well, The Hives, Carcass, Underoath, Daron Malakian’s Scars On Broadway, Sponge, Quicksand, Exodus, Stabbing Westward, Orgy, Lacuna Coil, The Birthday Massacre, Seven Hours After Violet, Dethklok, Dope, Scowl, Show Me The Body, Napalm Death, Dope, Arch Enemy, Twin Tribes, and more! Boston Calling has announced the lineup for its 2023 festival, taking place over Memorial Day weekend, from Friday, May 26, to Sunday, May 28, at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston. Headliners include Foo Fighters and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Friday), The Lumineers and Alanis Morissette (Saturday), and Paramore with Queens of the Stone Age (Sunday). Foo Fighters were one of the headliners announced for 2022, but canceled that appearance after the tragic death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Specially priced presale 3-Day General Admission, GA+, VIP, and Platinum tickets, as well as Single Day General Admission, GA+, VIP and Platinum tickets are on sale this Thursday, January 12 at 10:00am ET. Riot Fest 2021 Adds Patti Smith, Alkaline Trio, The Flaming Lips and More
Riot Fest has made the final weekend additions to the 2021 event, kicking off September 19th, 2021, which will be the fest’s first-ever Thursday Preview Party. Patti Smith and Her Band and Alkaline Trio will join Thursday night, with additional sets from Joyce Manor (performing their self-titled 2011 debut), WDRL, and Kristeen Young. As for Sunday, The Flaming Lips will return to Riot Fest on Sunday, bringing the fest-favorites back to Douglass Park on September 19 to replace Pixies. Sunday attendees will also get into the Thursday Preview Party for free, with a host of freshly-announced perks included. Tickets are on sale now at the link below.
Psycho Las Vegas Loses Some Bands Due to Visa and Pandemic Issues
In a story we have been following, Psycho Las Vegas has announced that bands such as Mayhen and Satyricon have dropped off the upcoming metal festival later this month. This is due to ongoing travel/work visa and pandemic related issues. To their credit, the fest has been dealing complaints and addressing on social media, and in emaisl to ticket holders. Other bands still hoping to gain entry into the USA to perform include Efforts are continuing for Emperor, Watain, Crippled Black Phoenix, Cult of Fire, and Psychlona, and we’ll keep tracking this story. Psycho Las Vegas 2020 Canceled, Festival Set to Return in 2021
Psycho Las Vegas has shared the bad news that they have canceled the 2020 festival that was set for August due to ot the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Psycho Las Vegas 2021 has been scheduled to August 19-22, 2021. “Nearly all the bands” have agreed to return for the 2021st dates.
