DWP also broke off ties at about the same time with AEG for their jointly created Carolina Rebellion festival and started a new one in its place called Epicenter. While those moves might have been sound business decisions, it still turned out to be a tough year for DWP festivals.

Foo Fighters Tease a Brand New Song, Book Additional Headline Tour Dates

Foo Fighters teased a brand new song on social media! The absolutely rocking track sounds along the lines of the band’s heaviest work. Sources around the band have teased the band has secretly recorded new music to release this spring, perhaps an entire album. According to a previous report, Radio X DJ Chris Moyles, Foo Fighters might drop a new album in March. During a February 7th show, Moyles leaked the news after playing the band’s 2011 track “Walk” from Wasting Light. “I love that song so much – Foo Fighters, and ‘Walk.’ They’ve got a new album coming out in, er, March, Foo Fighters… which I’m very much looking forward to.” Moyles did not qualify the comment any further. They also have booked additional headline tour dates around their growing slate of festival headline dates this spring and summer. The band is rumored to announce their new drummer soon, possibly from the following famous list of drummers Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden), Atom Willard (Against Me!), Josh Freese (Descendants, DEVO, perfect circle), and Rufus Taylor (The Darkness, and song of Roger Taylor of Queen). Foo Fighters will return to touring in 2023 with Boston Calling, one year after the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Foo Fighters released their award-winning album Medicine At Midnight in 2021 and their metal album under the name Dream Widow in 2022, supporting their comedy horror film Studio 666.
