Psycroptic – Aversions Crown – Within Destruction: Live at The Dome, London

Tonight is a busy day for Metal in the Capital, with the dreaded evening of multiple gig clashes, within a few stops of the Northern Line alone. One stop down from tonight’s proceedings in Tufnell Park sees the Cerberus-like bill of Behemoth, At The Gates and Wolves In The Throne Room, whilst Camden Town sees Toundra for those seeking something more mellow, and Obscura for some who, well, aren’t. This goes someway to explaining why The Dome looks tonight to be, at best, around half capacity for much of the night. Not that this seems to dampen anyone’s mood, as all night the crowd are on fine form, showing the bands plenty of love and movement as well as respect to one another. Continue reading →

Download 2019 has mad a major announcement today as forty-three new bands have been added! Among the new bands added are Stone Temple Pilots, Halestorm, Clutch, Behemoth,  Beartooth, Alcest, Animals As Leaders, At The Gates, Bad Wolves, Three Days Grace, Twelve Foot Ninja and more. Slipknot, Tool, and Def Leppard are the headliners for the annual rock extravaganza. The three-day festival takes place on 14-16 June 2019 at the spiritual home of rock in Donington Park, Leicestershire. Kerrang! Roadburn Announces Final Bands Including Craft, Bosse-De-Nage, Street Sects, Glerakur and More!

Roadburn 2019 is already sold out for the entire four-day weekend, but they have added another and final round of amazing bands. Craft (added by Tomas Lindberg to his curated event), Bosse-De-Nage, Street Sects, Glerakur, MJ Guider (Melissa Guion), L’acéphale, and Grey Aura have been added to the main weekend acts. Behemoth – At The Gates – Wolves In The Throne Room Live At The Fillmore

On the eve of Halloween, I flew into Philly for this massive show. Why? Why not!? A near sold-out Fillmore hosted Behemoth’s the Ecclesia Diabolica America tour 2018. Also on the bill were Swedish legends, At The Gates and the U.S.’s own Wolves At The Throne Room. This was a regular United Nations of metal type of night. Wolves at the Throne Room brought their atmospheric black metal. With keyboards and burning sage and playing just three songs only, they entranced the Philly fans. Continue reading →

Wolves In The Throne Room Signs New Deal With Century Media Records

Century Media Records and USBM band Wolves And The Throne Room have announced a deal to release WITTR albums outside of the USA. The deal extends to the Artemis Records imprint as well. The band had an enormous year performing on the Decibel Tour last spring and just finished opening for Behemoth and At The Gates live in the USA.
