Napalm Death and The Melvins Book Co-headlining US Tour


After first teaming up for a joint tour in 2016, Napalm Death and The Melvins are back together for a US tour in Spring, 2025. The Savage Imperial Death March II tour will run for seven weeks from early April, featuring an all-star line-up of openers: Weedeater (April 4-May 5), Titan To Tachyons featuring Mr. Bungle’s Trevor Dunn (May 7- 20), The Hard-Ons with Jerry A (May 22-June 2) and Shane Embury’s Dark Sky Burial, who will perform on all dates. High on Fire Books a Headlining Tour with Negative Approach, Weedeater, and Exhumed


Iconic U.S. rock band, High on Fire, has announced additional North American headlining tour dates in support of its new LP, Cometh the Storm. The GRAMMY Award-winning group, celebrating its 25th anniversary, will kick off the first leg of the 23-city tour on August 31 in Louisville, KY; the trek will include spotlight performances as part of both the Muddy Roots Festival (September 1) and NYC’s Deserfest (Sept. 13). The second leg will run from October 2-12, and the third from October 26-November 2, concluding with a featured performance at Mexico City’s Hipnosis Festival. The High on Fire tour will feature support from Negative Approach, Weedeater, and Exhumed in various iterations. Tickets for all dates will go on sale Friday, August 2 at 10 AM local time. With Lucifer releasing albums of a consistent style at a workman’s pace, it’s easy to overlook the underlying trajectory that’s been gradually in motion. There’s not much of those Occult Doom roots left on Lucifer IV (Century Media Records) as the band has seemingly completed their transformation from female-fronted Uncle Acid to what sounds like Karen Carpenter singing over KISS riffs. Fortunately, it’s hardly a drastic change as Johanna Sadonis’ sultry croon and the freerolling grooves remain as common denominators.Continue reading
