Fresh off an instant classic and a slight name change, Vein.fm have returned with another chaotic work of art entitled This World Is Going To Ruin You (Nuclear Blast). The Boston (yes, I am very biased on this one) hardcore outfit came back swinging in this sophomore release that certainly lives up to its predecessor without being a copy/paste job. While the expected frantic song structures and nu-metal influences are here as expected, I felt an increase of melodic moments in this record, and that is not a disparaging remark at all.

The band has been crafting punishing metallic hardcore, since 2014. Fans of bands like Hatebreed, Knocked Loose, Kublai Khan, The Acacia Strain, and Vein; this will be your new favorite band and the band has toured with Suicidal Tendencies, Terror, Madball, Strife, Evergreen Terrace, Ramallah and played festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, Graspop Metal Meeting, With Full Force, Resurrection Fest and more. The Glorious Rebellion – Scholars of War
An attacked guitar fades in with a straight Rock n’ Roll riff before spacious strings reverberate around the listeners’ skulls. They give way into the abyss as an almighty Sludge riff threatens to swallow the world whole. ‘This Is Fine’ centres on this aforementioned riff and grinds in a cyclical manner around one’s speakers eviscerating the local surroundings. ‘This Is Fine’ is an understatement: as an opener to an EP, it is borderline excellent.
