ALBUM REVIEW: Avenged Sevenfold – Life Is But A Dream…


Avenged Sevenfold are potentially one of the most divisive metal acts out of the US since Metallica. All you need to do is look at their previous two albums, 2013’s Hail To The King & 2016’s The Stage to see the extreme polar oppositions these albums created. The former for how the band wore their Metallica influence on their sleeve, creating their own version of The Black Album, and then the following 2016 release throwing all of their previous influences and sounds up in the air, bringing in outside sources from the likes of Pink Floyd, and creating a wholly new progressive rock/metal experience.

Marilyn Manson Appears in Public with Kanye West, and Features on his New Album – “Donda”


 

According to published reports, disgraced rocker Marilyn Manson will appear on the new labum by rapper and pop star Kanye West. Manson appeared with West, and Da Baby last Thursday night (8/26/2021) at Soldier Field in Chicago for a listen ing party for West’s new album Donda. This is Manson’s first public activtiy following  the exposure by the LA Times in an expose, and the ongoing investigation into allegations stemming from actress Evan Rachel Wood (HBO’s Westworld, True Blood) and at least 11 other women and others detailing years of sexual abuse by The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The potential case the Sheriff’s office is building is regarding domestic violence claims by Wood and others has had major implications for his career. He has also had recent legal trouble in New Hampshire, stemming from charges against him from a 2019 incident. Manson has suffered the fallout from this with his music and acting career.

COVID-19 Crowdfunding Campaign Launched to Support The Worcester Palladium and The Webster Theater

An Indiegogo campaign has been launched to support the employees of both The Worcester Palladium and Webster theatre, two venues in New England that have been hosts to thousands of metal, hardcore, and rock shows and countless other events for decades. Both venues are operated by Mass Concerts,  and the fundraiser is to bring relief aid to their workers due to the cancellation from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In addition to hosting now retired events such as The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival and the Rock N Shock Convention, last years amazing Self Help Fest by A Day To Remember the venues have hosted bands such as Blink-182, Bring Me The Horizon, Chelsea Grin, Ensiferum, Evanescence, Eyes on Satellites, Fall Out Boy, Fathom Farewell, Four Year Strong, Gov’t Mule, Gwar, Hatebreed, Ice Nine Kills, In Honor Of, Jerry Garcia Band, Jimmy Eat World, Kanye West, King Diamond, Korn, Logic, Motionless in White, My Chemical Romance, Nightwish, Of Mice & Men, Periphery, Protest the Hero, Reveille, Rob Zombie, Senses Fail, Sic Vita, Slayer, Sonata Arctica, Soundgarden, Straight Line Stitch, Suicide Silence, Twelve Foot Ninja, Twenty One Pilots, Tyler The Creator, Whitechapel, Wiz Khalifa, and Years Since the Storm. Sharon Osbourne Hits Back at Donald Trump for His Use of Ozzy’s “Crazy Train”

Let is never be said that Sharon Osbourne is not a fierce opponent when crossed. She has hit back in a statement against President Trump for the unauthorized use of her husband Ozzy Osbourne’s classic metal anthem ‘Crazy Train”. The track showed up in a new political video by Trump and vis vice president Mike Pence, that constitutes a political ad for the 2020 election.
