This unique performance will make its World Premiere outside of Finland in January 2025, on board The Original, The World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise, with two separate presentations of the work occurring whilst on board. The heavy metal cruise, featuring Sepultura, Emperor, Unleash The Archers, Decapitated, Hammerfall, Tankard, and more, sets sail from Miami, FL to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and back, taking place from January 30th to February 3rd, 2025. ALBUM REVIEW: Portrait – The Host
For their sixth full-length studio release, Swedish metallers Portrait journey to the land of the concept album in order to conjure up a tale of sword and sorcery set in the seventeenth century. Their first full-blown conceptual release, The Host (Metal Blade) is not an entirely fictional piece but also inspired partly by historic events, with the band imparting the tale of an unnamed protagonist seeking strength after encountering injustice and hypocrisy.

FESTIVAL REVIEW: Milwaukee Metal Fest 2024 Part 2 – Live at The Rave
The lineup for Saturday was stacked, in my opinion, headliner Mr. Bungle left the Milwaukee crowd in awe. Mike Patton is such a great front man so I felt privileged to watch this man perform again. San Francisco Thrash Metal legends Testament has one of the best performances I had ever seen them give in years.
