ALBUM REVIEW: Elder – Omens

Did you daydream as a kid? Just stare off into nothing and let your imagination run wild? I did. A lot of my early childhood was spent amazed at what my mind could cook up with if I had a lack of books or toys, and before my soul was captured by music. Laying on my back in the grass, seeing shapes in the clouds or constellations at night, that was pure happiness as a kid. I never really stopped chasing that vibe as an adult, because I still drift off and let my brainwaves go crazy. Expect nowadays my field is my headphones and a turntable, and the clouds my mind is chasing down are inside of my eyelids, and not the sky. Tool Shares Album Cover and New Album Details Emerge

Tool has shared the cover of their upcoming new album, Fear Inoculum‘ (RCA), due out August 30th. The album cover was created once again with frequent collaborator and visionary artist Alex Grey. The band also shared new details in an interview with Revolver, the entire band shared new details about the album. At 80 minutes in length, Fear Inoculum has only 9 tracks, which has 7 actual songs and two interludes. The album’s concept revolves around the number seven, with most songs written in time signatures with seven in it. The band will share their album details tomorrow, August 6th with a track premiere on August 7th. Continue reading →

I have always been a soul that yearned to watch my favorite bands live. There is nothing like hearing the songs that have become the soundtrack to your life performed live. One of the most animated and entertaining bands of present day is Swedish Heavy Metal Band, Avatar. To say the band’s live performance is theatrical would not be giving it justice.
