Last time around, 2015’s The Color Before The Sun (300) saw New York progressive rockers Coheed and Cambria abandon the lavish story arc of their previous seven albums and move away from the polished and heroic approach they had made their own, ploughing a more straightforward alternative rock furrow. Whether it was an attempt to attain new fans, a one-off experiment, or simply a stylistic change that didn’t quite work, nonetheless, long-time supporters of the band will be pleased to hear that the fantasy conceptualists have returned to what they know best.Continue reading

Coheed And Cambria Announce “Unheavenly Creatures” Album



Coheed and Cambria have officially announced details of their long awaited new album, The Unheavenly Creatures, due out on October 5th from their new label Roadrunner Records. The sprawling fifteen track, self-produced, 78-minute epic finds Coheed and Cambria returning to the conceptual narrative of their early prog roots of The Amory Wars. Today the band has launched pre-orders for the album’s deeply immersive Vaxis – Act 1: The Unheavenly Creatures Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set. Pre-orders for The Unheavenly Creatures standard album will begin Friday, June 29, with more new music from the forthcoming LP arriving next week.

Set for release October 5th, the box set includes an exclusive eighty-plus page hardcover illustrated sci-fi novel with strikingly realistic colour imagery by Chase Stone, as well as the complete Act 1 novella written by frontman Claudio Sanchez and his wife, Chondra Echert. The set also houses a fully-wearable hard-plastic mask of the main character in The Unheavenly Creatures, a CD copy of the album, as well as the exclusive bonus album, The Crown Heights Demos, showing the songs in their original written form. Additional items include a 3-panel fold out poster of expanded album cover art, and the Unheavenly Creatures Black Card which will allow all card holders early access to tickets and early entry to Coheed and Cambria headline dates (including this summer’s tour). Coheed And Cambria Release New Single – “The Dark Sentencer”


Prog metal masters Coheed and Cambria have releassed their first new music from their upcoming new album. ‘The Dark Sentencer’ answers fans prayers, that the band would return to their roots on this new album. Frontman Claudio Sanchez also shared the artwork on his Instagram account. The lengthy track calls to mind their much loved earlier work, and so far so good. Jam it out loud now!
